Course Goal

The profession of Mystery Guest is both exciting and very sensitive at the same time. In order to maximize the training efficiency and to understand the usefulness of the techniques and tools presented, the course provides the participants with several exercises and simulations of situations that actually happened.

Classroom theoretical training

Theory provides participants with all the tools, techniques and fundamental knowledge to be applied in a real context, in the role of Mystery Guest.

Group exercises and role play

Practical exercises and role plays train participants in a concrete and real way to simulate typical dynamics and situations for a professional Mystery Guest.

Individual exercises

Individual work during the three training days allows participants to put theoretical concepts and topics into practice and encourages direct confrontation with the lecturers.

Online training

Following the course participation, students have access to the Digital Academy platform to deepen topics covered in the classroom and to further qualify themselves professionally.

Target audience

The course is aimed at people who wish to learn the skills at the basis of the Mystery Guest profession and all those who want to consolidate their role in the company, strengthening their observation and analysis skills. In order to have a homogeneous and properly attended classroom, the course is limited to a maximum of 20 participants. The training will be delivered in Italian and the following are required: - basic knowledge of the world of hospitality - basic knowledge of English (A2-B1)

Exam and International Endorsement

Obtaining the international Mystery Guest certification, recognised by the Institute of Hospitality in London, is subject to achieving at least 85% of the score in the final exam. The exam consists in the creation of a report following a stay at a partner establishment, to be completed within one month of the end of the course. In addition, you must also complete, by the same date, the 7-hour Luxury Hospitality Standards course, which is part of the Digital Academy.

There are two scholarships covering 50% of the course value for two candidates. A basic knowledge of the world of hospitality is necessary, i.e. the main departments that characterise it, and the typical roles and dynamics of this sector. Good writing skills and familiarity with the main digital tools complete the profile.
Since there are many different scenarios that can be played out, Mystery Guests can have different ages, backgrounds and personal dynamics. The real added values are attention to detail, flexibility and professionalism.
The exam includes a one-night stay in one of the partner facilities and the writing of a report on the experience according to the guidelines provided. The time available for the writing and delivery of the report is one month from the end of the course.
It is possible to work independently and/or work in collaboration with Hospite. In the latter case, you can be added to a database and possibly contacted for projects in suit of your profile.
The Mystery Guest certification, achieved after passing the final exam, is recognised internationally by the Institute of Hospitality in London and allows you to work in this profession both in Italy and abroad.
The Mystery Guest's remuneration varies according to the type of scenario requested, the experience gained by the professional over time and the type of reporting required when defining the project.
